I bought the camera for my Fujufilm X-T30. It's performance is absolutely stunning. It is a bit difficult to get used with the manual control of the focus (I really used it with my other lens) but with little practice everything comes on its place. The lens itself is quite heavy and most of the time you will need a tripod if you don't have direct light on the object. It was a bit tricky to make my camera work take photos. The hint was that I have to turn on a stetting for "take photo without lens". Still I don't get any RAW format images with this lens, but may be it is another setting I'm not aware of but as I'm doing this as a hobby I don't need it much.

I got mine used, for half the listed price. For: super-sharp. Well-built. Excellent hood. Can focus VERY close. Image quality of a very high order, no complaints at all. Focussing on a Fuji using focus peaking is very reliable, but needs a high degree of precision which will come with practice. No idea how this performs on other cameras, so check first. May be possible to use a teleconverter with this, as rear element is deeply recessed, to increase working distances. Samyang is a S. Korean company with a proven track record, not a fly-by-night Chinese operation. Against: Large. Heavy. Designed for full-frame, not APS-C, which is why that is the case. No auto focus, metadata or image stabilisation. Mine cannot focus on infinity - I’m quite certain this is particular to my copy - but at normal distances up to around 50 metres it is excellent. Bought for close-up and macro work, so didn’t return. Check yours, just in case this was a batch fault. All manufacturers have them.Vollständige Rezension lesen
