Disappointing...
While Charles Manson had a hand in the writing of this book, it more clearly reflects the marketing hopes of the publisher along with the consessions of Nuell Emmons, the editor. All the specifics which might have made "Manson in His Own Words" interesting have been expunged, to avoid law suits. The end result reads like a Reader's Digest feature article on Charles Manson. It's hard to blame Manson or Emmons. I suspect they were being used to simply get some sort of product out with Manson's name on it. I grew up when this all happened, I have read and watched a lot of the movies. This book puts things of why (even not right, in a normal mind) of why this happened. Just could not put it down. It takes you into the mind of the man.

Great Read
This is a really good book for anyone who wants to get to know Charlie for him and not all the lies and media. Once you start the first page it will have you hooked. Love this book working on getting them all.

Great Insight
Gave a lot more insight that was unable to be gained through the previously published books and articles regarding the Manson family and murders. This book adds more understanding to the psyche that is found inside one of the most notorious "murderers" in the United States.
