    Canon EOS 40D Digital Field Guide

    If you own the Canon 40D camera, and are not a professional photographer, buy this book! It will immensely increase your enjoyment of this great camera by detailing its many features, and gives practical advice on when and where to use them. Even if you are knowlegeable of photography, this book details the specifics of the 40D, making setup of the camera near foolproof.

    Hmmmm- not what I was looking for

    I wanted something beyond the factory supplied owners manual. I wanted some basic instruction. In truth, I think I will be using the owners manual almost totally. I would have liked more of an "insiders" approach to the camera. Maybe even the 'dummies' series type of book. Unfortunately, that series has a DSLR edition, but nothing so specific as to be just about this, or any other specific model of DSLR

    Great book for all, beginner to amateur!!!

    The thing is that I bought too many books for photography. They are all great in theory, but what happens when it comes to practice??? Well, with this book I get the help I need immediately, because we are talking here about MY camera, exactly the settings I need for MY camera the Canon 40D and not in general. I find out those settings that I need, for the specific story I need them, right away. Beautiful work, in color, with many pictures and finally not only theory about photography, which is essential of course, but a lot of stuff for practice too. And like I said, on MY own camera, the Canon 40D !!!
