Created exclusively for Wii, Gold's Gym Dance Workout uses the motion-sensitive Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers -- and optionally, the Wii Balance Board -- to monitor player performance in a series of aerobic workout routines. Some of the software's virtual exercise activities are based on real-life and extreme sports, such as karate, rowing, and even bull riding and kangaroo boxing. Users can enter data based on their physical statistics, and the software will track the approximate number of calories burned, as well as their exercise history, time played, and changes to their body-mass index reading. A built-in virtual training coach can gradually increase the intensity of the workouts based on the player's improved performance. Central to the program are circuit routines, which string together dance exercises into a continuous work-out lasting up to 30 minutes. Gold's Gym Dance Workout supports two players at once, allowing the user to work out with a friend.

Great workout game - highly recommended!
I found this game at such a low price that I figured I'd give it a try... well, I LOVE it and feel even at full retail price, it's a great deal! There's a wide variety of activities and love the personal trainer... it takes into account your age, weight and height to create custom workouts for you. Some reviewers complain that it's too fast, but there are tutorials for all of the dance and boxing moves - which allow you to pause and rewind through steps until you get them down. I'm a total beginner (who's overweight and out of shape) and I'm able to learn the step and can usually keep up!I found this game at such a low price that I figured I'd give it a try... well, I LOVE it and feel even at full retail price, it's a great deal! I love this dance workout video, the beat you dance to is very motivating, keeps you wanting to do more. I am flat out tired when I finish but in the mean time you don't realize it. There are so many workouts to choose from, or even make your own. Various work out time slots so no matter what you always have the time, it even breaks it down by level i.e. beginner, advanced and so on. All sorts of mini games in between sessions like boxing, rowing, bull riding. I love it :)I love this dance workout video, the beat you dance to is very motivating, keeps you wanting to do more. Fun Workout
This is a great workout game on the WII. It is easy to follow. Starts out slow with the tututorial, then progressive rapidly. What is different about this game is that it calculates how many calories you have burned from each section and keeps your records in your profile with your age, height, and weight. I haven't had it long enough to see how it calculates your progress, but I was pleased to see how many calories I burned and what it was equivalent to what I can eat.This is a great workout game on the WII. good buy!
I bought this game to make myself get up my butt and exercise, and so far it's been doing exactly that. The fact that it keeps a calendar to track days I worked out, it helps me get on it everyday even if I play for a short period of time. Only down side is, its been about 2 weeks now that I played, and I'm doing the same movements over and over again, so I might get bored with the same routine shortly.
