I've just received this module and I have to say buyer beware. First of all, what you see is what you get. There are no connectors supplied. there is no information as to power supply connection, maximum VDC, or voltage polarities. All you have to refer to is the silkscreen markings on the board and they are abbreviations and that is left to your interpretation. The PCB has an onboard LM7805 V-regulator and the 14 pin DIP (black) connector calls for 8V (+8volts) and I WOULD NOT EXCEED this level as it will increase the heat generated by the LM7805. so do so with caution. There is no optical encoder, for which this site has a free hand sketch suggesting connections for the encoder but again no polarities are given. Unless you have a well stocked junk box you will find it a challenge to make reliable electrical connections. One could solder wiring to the back side of the connectors. It would be helpful to know what this module was intended to be used in. I have energized the module and it does have carrier output at 10 MHz, with no encoder attached and the purity of signal looks decent on the spectrum analyzer at an approximate level 0.dBm . With 8.VDC applied current drain was about 200mA. The quality and workmanship look good, due in large part to pick and place machines. I would not recommend this module unless you are an experienced experimenter with decent test equipment. Generally speaking parts alone, providing you don't apply reverse polarity, are worth the cost of the module. JKVollständige Rezension lesen

Puts out an excellent signal (measured on scope) between 400Khz and 40 Mhz. After that things deterioate. I use it for frequency conformation on my Drake ham radio equipment. You have to buy a rotary encoder ( $1-$5 on ebay) Allows frequency change as small as 1 Hz-very pure tone. The company does not seem to read english well, but they sent me information for the chip and a schematic after emailing them. Lots of fun here for $35 and usefull if you know how. Probably can be use for computer radio if youre into that. Andy.

No programming instructions to set up memories. Low output below 3.5 Mhz-needs additional amplification to drive older transmitters on 1.8-2.0 Mhz
