Amazing! -Left me 'feelin good' ; )
Michael Buble is an amazing new generation Jazz singer who has the flavor and feel of Frank Sinatra with a smooth finish, accompanied by beautifully jazzy instrumentals arranged by himself. This man's amazing voice will forever be dominating the easy listening and Jazz tunes coming from my iPod. These tracks are more impressive than his previous work and include my favorite duet--track 4--and my favorite of his originals, track 5. His music fits any classy get together for background music (I used it to theme a casino party--perfect!) or to just relax and hear someone who actually possesses talent in today's pop world. Its Time 1. Feeling Good 2. Foggy Day, A (In London Town) 3. You Don't Know Me 4. Quando, Quando, Quando - (with Nelly Furtado) 5. Home 6. ... You might not know who Michael Buble is... but you've probably seen of him on TV - one of his many cameos in Coke Commercials, Vegas episodes, etc or heard his music overlayed on top of a variety of shows and commercials. Michael Buble has a classic voice that many compare to greats like Sinatra - its very pure, very crisp and very strong. In his music, Buble plays many of the hits from his past and doesnt redo them drastically - instead, he pays hommage to those tunes and renders them accurately and powerfully with his voice. This Michael Buble is one smooth character! I bought this CD for a friend after seeing Mr. Buble on a PBS presentation. It was easy to see why she likes his cool, up-dated, version of Frank Sinatra style Romantic/Swing/Pop Music. This album includes old favorites such as "You Don’t Know Me", "Feeling Good", "Can’t Buy Me Love", "Save the Last Dance for Me", "Song for You", as well as Michael's original "Home" co-written with his fiance Amy Foster-Gilles. When I'm having a cocktail on the front porch later this evening this album will be playing, you bet!This Michael Buble is one smooth character! What do I like? I like this guy no matter what he sings. This album is 'top drawer' and I play it all the time. As a matter of fact, meet you at his concert in Baton Rouge, LA on July 9. I enjoy his DVD performances as well. High praise for any and all Michael Buble. Love his voice and the band arrangements are superior. Unlike some artists, Michael doesn't beat you up with his strengths. He's learned early how to finesse the lyrics in sync with the mood. And he is so cute. I metamorphosed from fan to groupie in a few short weeks. If you like SmoothJazz, Big Band entertainment,or studio 'intimate', Michael Buble is one to collect. Some music is like watching documentaries. You like to watch the occasional documentary, but most of the time they're not so cool. You wouldn't want to call a bunch of friends over to watch a documentary and share a bottle of wine. Similarly, there are CDs that just don't translate from something you enjoy in your solitude to music that colors a get-together. You know them. I don't need to name all of them here, but I will mention the names "Pink Floyd" and "Moody Blues" as a word of warning. Michael Buble is the exception to this rule. His music is wonderfully comfortable to share and deep enough to sink into on your own. His voice is at once clear and smoky. His interpretation is both classic and cutting-edge.
