I load my own indoor home defense loads with #4 Buck instead of 00 Buck. #4 Buck is not easy to find in stores, especially in 20 Ga. Once the mold halves were up to temperature, I cast about 20 pounds of shot with near perfect results. The few bad runs were my fault for letting the mold cool too much while waiting for the next melt. I have been using hand tools professionally and recreationally for over 50 years. I like the placement and size of the handles and the rugged design of the sprue cutter. I also cast lead balls and bullets for my muzzle loaders, .38, and 30-30 using my other Lee molds.

My only issue with this mold is the large flat sprue mark on the top pellets. I separate them from the other two, and use for close range ammo.

I'm always amazed by the precision machined into these Lee molds. Its worth a lot to me just to see the way both halves fit together. I don't know how they do it and sell for only $40. Then I get to keep the mold to boot.

Item appears to be of excellent quality, looks just as described. Have not tried it yet, but all the YouTube videos show it easy to use.
