Blade Runner Review
Blade Runner is my all time favorite film. Great story adapted well to the screen. Film design is extraordinary. Holds up visially after all these years. The music enhances the film in perfect harmony with the design's film noiresqe quality. Of couse, Harrison Ford was dashing as usual, but Rutgar Hauer stole the film as Roy. It is Rutgar Hauer's Tears in The Rain scene that makes the movie my favorite.Blade Runner is my all time favorite film. Great story adapted well to the screen. Film design is extraordinary. Great deal!
Theatrical edition, which was my main reason for buying, was in immaculate condition! As a side note, there was a small piece of plastic broken from one of the disc holder areas - not a big deal, but just a little surprise when first opening in case anyone else hears a little shaking when they open theirs. Thank you for the great product! :)

Do androids dream of sheep ?
Look BR is basically the source to all cyber punk as Edgar Alan Poe to Goth peeps. While yes there are others including "Alphaville" none can touch BR. This set includes the deleted scenes that shows us a more 1950's stylized BR with Harrison Ford narrating. So disc 4 is probably the only real reason to buy this set at all. You also get a nifty grid map and Typography lesson as well. Speaking of dis-topia this movie/book also sets the stage for "Cyborg II" ( an indirect sequel to Cyborg ). I know it is hard to understand but this is from a generation where they were cramming out gold on VHS that otherwise was limited to a mail order fan base. You will love every single moment of this film. The book kinda stretches it by investing in a false police station. More of that "Outer Limits" ... The film of all sci-fi films!
Hands down one of the most immersive films to ever grace the screen, so glad I got this collectors edition!

Timeless classic
Recommended for anyone who likes futuristic action. Probably Rutger Hauer's best movie role. The theatrical release is easier to understand and follow because of the narration at key points. Once you know the story you can go for the director's cut. Do be warned that it's rated R for a reason, the violence is pretty harsh in a couple of brief scenes. But the story line is still entertaining to watch even for the third time and the visual effects are top notch even by today's standards. And I'm a bit of a sucker for Vangelis music.Recommended for anyone who likes futuristic action. Probably Rutger Hauer's best movie role.
