    Very good, but wanted more pipers

    I first heard some of this CD through Amazon Unlimited Music on my Alexa device and I decided I wanted the CD. Honestly, I was looking for more bagpipes than are actually on the disc, which is very subdued and sedate in certain songs, but I ended up really liking the variety offered with the hammered dulcimer and other instruments. All in all, a very solid Christmas CD and quite enjoyable.

    Great Christmas Instrumental Music

    If you are searching for something that is filled with Christmas Spirit this is a great CD. Bonnie Rideout, Al Pittway and Maggie Samson are great musicians. The recording has an old school feel, not loud, gentle and peaceful. You can not go wrong with any of theses artists and you would do well to seek out their other Christmas elections. Great Christmas music!

    Some of the best music was not even listed.

    While it did not say it on the case, I thought I heard them The BAGPIPES, playing 'Adeste Fedelis'. or 'O come All Ye Faithful'. t'was like music of Heaven to a man ears.

    Sweet Christmas Music

    This has very sweet simple versions of Christmas songs done in the Scottish manner. It was not quite as "exciting" as I expected it to be, but it was fine. I recommended Yo Yo Ma's Christmas album, if you want something a little more upbeat and happy with lots of strings.

    A Scottish Christmas - Rideout, Bonnie (CD 2004)

    This CD has some of the best, most interesting arrangements that uses familiar and unusual instruments, along with impeccable execution, resulting in a Christmas CD that you can listen to for hours!
