Writer/director Joshua Michael Stern (NEVERWAS) tackles American politics in his second feature film. Bud Johnson (Kevin Costner) is just your below-average Joe. He works in an egg factory, likes to knock back a few too many beers, and is a single parent to 12-year old Molly (Madeline Carroll), a bright spitfire who does her best to keep her dad on the straight and narrow. Patriotic Molly insists that apathetic Bud do his civic duty and vote in the upcoming presidential election, a tight race between Republican incumbent Andrew Boone (Kelsey Grammer) and Democratic candidate Donald Greenleaf (Dennis Hopper). Soon the media and both candidates descend upon Bud's hometown of Texico, New Mexico, when it's determined that his vote wasn't counted and will decide the outcome of the entire presidential election. Now that Bud is a "somebody"--there's even a "Bud Cam" capturing his every move--will he be swayed by visits to Air Force One and the "Bud Ball" held in his honor, or will he be the voice of the American people and vote for the better candidate?The lengths the candidates go to in order to win Bud's vote are high points of the film, as they find themselves supporting initiatives that are completely opposed to their platforms at the urging of their campaign managers, played by Stanley Tucci and Nathan Lane. Grammer is well cast as Boone, and it's a hoot to see counterculture icon Hopper in this light. Costner makes Bud likable despite the loser stereotype he personifies. But this film belongs to Carroll, a lovely young actress who can steal a scene with one look. If nothing else, SWING VOTE is a reminder that even though politics may be a game, every single vote really does count.

Shipping quality and speed were both great, unfortunately the game crashes whenever you attempt to start a match, franchise etc. and is unplayable. I would be more upset if it was a game of higher value.

Bud's nature poses a bit of a curveball for the competing campaigns, both of whom promptly show up in town as part of an intense media circus that will last the ten days Bud has until revoting. Ignoring the ethical questions, incumbent Republican Andrew Boone (Kelsey Grammer) and popular Democratic hopeful Donald Greenleaf (Dennis Hopper) both embrace schmoozing the swing voter at the encouragement of their respective, determined campaign managers (Stanley Tucci, Nathan Lane). At Bud's slightest hint of a preference, Boone and Greenleaf are eager to change their stances on issues like the environment, abortion, and gay marriage. Meanwhile, an ambitious local reporter (Paula Patton) sees the story as her big break and Molly tries to keep her father from being superficially swayed. Sharp Jabs at Dems and Republicans
This was obviously meant to remind you of the 2000 election fiasco in Florida. The film basically centers around Kevin Costner's character, who is lazy, irresponsible, and a mess - but he's lovable and fun. His vote will make the difference in giving either candidate (Kelsey Grammar or Dennis Hopper) New Mexico's five electoral votes, which will push him over the limit to win. Both candidates then devise a series of ads pitched specifically at him. There were themes about responsibility, being informed, and hogging your time in the limelight during your 15 minutes of fame during this film. Costner at his best
I really enjoyed this movie. The chemistry between Costner and his movie daughter was very, very good. I would say add it to your DVD collection.

A great movie keeps ya going...very intertaining. The only thing I didn't like was the ending????But I won't tell what the problem was watch the movie LOL
