    Moments of a Life Captured in Twilight at the Shore Between Life & Death...

    "Evening" is a beautiful and meaningful film, touching and emotionally moving without being too heavy handed. The characters are all so real and likeable... despite being so very human... The cinematography gives a sense of being there in real time and in a dream like state... with some very gorgeous natural scenery at the shore throughout the daylight scenes, but mostly at twilight and sunset... visuals that let the viewer almost feel the breezes and smell the scent of the shore on the wind. The well-known actresses in the film -- Vanessa Redgrave, Natasha Richardson, Claire Danes, Glenn Close & Merrill Streep -- are wonderfully well chosen, as are the less well-known actors. And as a small sidelight, one nice thing this movie did for me was to let me see actor ...

    Death Explained

    The passing of the lead character,played by Vanessa Redgrave and Claire Danes,is handled with taste and dignity.You will ride out on a cloud of memories and understand that death is a part of life.Toni Collette and the late Natasha Richardson,Miss Redgrave's RL daughter,give depth and chaos to the parts of the daughters,called to their mother's death bed to say goodbye.Meryl Streep and her RL daughter,Mamie,play the best friend with fire and loyalty. The term,Ensemble Cast,is taken to new heights with this love story,chick flick,that men can appreciate too.Bravo.

    Most Under-Rated Drama Film That I Have Watched In A Very Long Time...

    This is an amazing story with some pretty impressive actors & actresses. Lots & lots of drama within a family regarding a woman who has 2 daughters & is dying. Covers the woman's life starting when she was young so, you get to see many different eras. Beautiful color & filming on location. I liked this movie & was entertained by it. I have repeated it more than once so, I would say that the film was rated pretty high by me. If you like real life stories about family & real true to life circumstances, then this one would be for you.

    great movie to watch from time to time

    This is one of my favorite movies that I like to watch from time to time. I love the way it spans time and the relationships between mothers and daughters. It will make you laugh and cry and sometimes at the same time. It is about love and tragedy and different people from different backgrounds and how they are drawn together by love. I am happy to have found it; an excellent purchase.

    An OK movie to watch.

    Not what I thought it will be, but still the actress did a great job in acting. Meryl Streep was only in the movie for very brief time. I was disappointed about that. I bought the movie with the wishes to see more of her acting skill.
