I had given up hope of buying a ready made speed controlled electric motor system for less than £350.00 that was in the region of 250 to 500 watts . I seen this system for around £100.00 it looked good value and the information given seemed very good , so I took a gamble and purchased. When it arrived very well boxed I may add it was complete with all the fixings leads and the correct plug for UK operation. I was astounded at the quality, the motor bearings were silky smooth within ten minutes of unpacking after reading up the set up procedure I had the motor running on the bench the speed can be set in increments the display can offer amperage drawn voltage as well as rpm set. The operating switch is solid state and offers a step up and step down of speed during operation it is not off /on. This switch unit really works well but needs careful adjustment of the operating arm but well worth the extra time to get the adjustment right If your considering a motor with variable rpm settings 200 to 5000 rpm you will not beat this system for value. I am a retired technician and have seen some real rubbish in the past but without doubt I would recommend this item and I will be buying again for another family member. I use a Pfaff 130 and a Singer 201k. Both are vintage "domestic" machines, but very heavilly built, and with all-metal gearing. Many people use them for very heavy duty use, like boat covers, (as I do). They're not walking foot machines, but the will punch through many layers of heavy/thick material. My pfaff's only drawback was the motor power, They're originally fitted with 1.2 amp (240v) motors, but mine had only a common 0.45 amp (240v) motor. I therefore bought this Tyso servo motor to give me more power and slow speed high torque control. I mounted it on a baseboard that the sewing machine just sits on, and fitted a smaller pulley to match the profile of the pfaff's handwheel. I modified the bracket and operating lever (without cutting or altering anything), so the whole assembly now sits neatly on a table. The functionality with the pfaff 130 is excellent. It can now do single stitch starts without manually starting the wheel, and will run slow or fast, through any materials.Vollständige Rezension lesen

I have a jack servo motor which is a great motor and i ordered this one for my industrial overlocker ... its a fantastic motor and it goes clockwise and anticlockwise too, which is great as my overlocker goes a different way to my sewing machine... to make the motor Press and Hold the needle up button located on the control box until it comes up with P-01. Press the needle up button until you reach P-04 then press the square button once. 0 or 1 will appear ... 0 makes the motor run anticlockwise and 1 makes the motor run clockwise I love this motor :) thank you TY SEWING MACHINES

Faster ,quieter than a clutch motor...worth the extra price! Also easier to fit and adjust.

Unfortunately its start up speed is too fast. It works fine once underway but its initial speed of 200 rpm is simply too fast for accurate sewing.
