Good movie, but the bonus features are worthless!
I love, and have seen, every episode of Sex & the City! I enjoyed both of the movies that came out. My only disappointment is the "extras" featured on the 2nd disc are not worth the extra money. They are essentially the same clips of SJP, the producer, and design director, but rearranged, in each special bonus feature. It was also disappointing to learn that although I'm a fan of SJP, she's nothing like Carrie in real life?!I love, and have seen, every episode of Sex & the City! I enjoyed both of the movies that came out. My only disappointment is the "extras" featured on the 2nd disc are not worth the extra money. Product placement at its best.
There's nothing new to this movie if you have seen even a few episodes of the TV series. You see a lot of pretty dresses, lots of pretty shoes, lots of pretty but clearly ageing women, & lots of hunky men. The plot is so predictable that you can actually play a game of who can predict the next scene most accurately. If you are looking for a movie to show with the girls, this would be the right one. However, having your boyfriend watch this movie with you....at your own risk. By the end of it, he'll either be dead, or brain damaged, or dump you, or discover that he's gay. Watch it if you have nothing better to do & forget it the moment you turn off the dvd player.There's nothing new to this movie if you have seen even a few episodes of the TV series. You'll love it, even if you've never caught the show! SPOILERS!
Even if you've never seen an episode of Sex And The City, you'll still enjoy this sexy comedy. Sarah Jessica Parker shines as Carrie, Kim Cattrall as the man-hungry Samantha, Kristin Davis as perky Charlotte and Cynthia Nixon as determind Miranda. Carrie's finally happy with her relationship to Mr. Big (Chris Noth), and even happier when they get engaged. However, things take a painful turn when he gets cold feet due to a poor choice of words from Miranda (Her husband had cheated on her, causing them to seperate). Heartbroken, Carrie has the support of her friends, as they go through their own issues: Samantha's in a relationship with a younger guy, but it's driving her crazy. Charlotte, despite having a child by adoption, still hopes to be preggers, and Miranda is ... Even if you've never seen an episode of Sex And The City, you'll still enjoy this sexy comedy. Sarah Jessica Parker shines as Carrie, Kim Cattrall as the man-hungry Samantha, Kristin Davis as perky Charlotte and Cynthia Nixon as determind Miranda. If anything, watching the film has gotten me into the series now, and I love each and every episode (You'll have to get the DVD's for the uncut episodes, because the TV versions are heavily edited).
