Product Information

Tiger Woods' third game on Wii is the first to be developed by EA Tiburon, lead designers of the franchise on competing platforms. A revamped swing system now features a 1:1 relationship between your off-screen movements and your onscreen counterpart. Pull back on the Wii Remote, for example, and your golfer will begin his backswing at the same time. Draw and fade are accomplished by holding the remote at an inward or outward angle while swinging. As with previous titles in the "All-Play" series, controls can be simplified to the point where novices only have focus on making contact.

PGA Tour 09 on Wii includes many key features from the more advanced console versions, from the club shaping option to Tiger's personal coach, Hank Haney, who will offer advice to improve your game. Exclusive to the Wii version is the ability to jump straight to the FedEx Cup without first having to qualify. Another exclusive is the "Party Game" option that has you competing against friends in challenges like juggling a ball or racing golf carts. PGA Tour 09 on Wii also introduces online support for up to four players. Rather than alternate turns, everyone competes simultaneously for a faster-paced outing.

Product was considerably damaged. There was no mention of damage on the listing. Quality was described as "good". Packaging was of poor quality, not even a bubble mailer. Reached out to the seller about the issue and got no response.

  • Even I can be a Tiger on the Course

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He and I have both played it. I'm not a golfer, but I can honestly say it has far more features than the Wii golf. The slection of courses is great after being trapped on the Wii Sports course for so long. However, navigating through the Haney tutorial is a nightmare since neather of us can figure out HOW to satisfy the expectations of the challenges. We can come within mere inches of the desired target and still that exasperating "YOU CAN DO BETTER" message diplay comes up and will not let us proceed to the next challenge. We finally gave up on the tutorial and went straight to the course for a round of golf. We both have enjoyed a game by ourselves but have yet to figure out how to keep the game from overwriting our personal players. It takes a ...

  • New game

Golf and the Wii's motion-sensing capabilities seem like a match made in heaven. Wii Sports Golf was shallow, but the potential for a fun game was there. Super Swing Golf was plenty deep, but the controls and pacing left something to be desired. Now EA Sports has stepped up to the tee to take a shot at becoming golf's first hole in one on the Wii. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 doesn't score an ace, but its accessible controls, large number of courses, and plethora of game modes put it squarely on the green.

  • Too much "stuff"?

I bought it because a friend had it (08) and I enjoyed a limited time playing the game. It's facinating, if slow moving. I'll figure out how to speed it up. One feature I wish it had was "Save This Shot." I'd trade a lot of the other "bells & whistles" for that. I find putting a bit touchy & would prefer a "3D" rendering of the green similar to Wii Golf. The music I can (and do) live without, the commentary is blah. Overall, TW is fun to play, Hank Haney's pretty cool & the family will enjoy it this winter. Well worth what I paid on e-Bay.

  • Great online golfing experience...

I recommend this game to anybody that enjoys this franchise or is interested in a more realistic golf game than on Wii sports. The actual golf swing motion is very realistic in this game. If you twist your wrists too much, you will hook or slice the ball. Putting could be improved but it's not the worst feature of this game. It seems people that find fault with the putting are coming from a previous incarnation of this game. If you are new to this franchise, it's "flaws" are not noticed. The minigames online are a standout feature...worth the price of admission alone.

  • Just when you thought that EA learned from 08' But nooo

Latest update...9-20-08 After playing with this for about a couple of weeks now, my anger is just as it was when I wrote this...I cannot go past 9 holes without grinding my teeth at EA for the frustration that they have sold to us all...This has not improved, and I honestly cannot enjoy playing this on the Wii...Those that rave about this game, I am very happy for them...but for those who understand what I am talking about, will find themselves selling the game to get back as much $ as they can get back. So 08' was a patch for the 07' and yes, they did make some improvements that made the game worth getting. However, this 09'...ya would think that EA would of taken the feedback from the customers and incorporate them into the 09' right? nope. Let start with the positives...yes, ya can ...
