Product Information

The top computer game franchise continues to branch out onto other platforms, as it explores a new lifestyle in this spin-off title. Like the 2003 console versions of The Sims and The Sims Bustin' Out, The Urbz: Sims in the City uses the life simulation of the popular PC series as the basis for a role-playing game with a familiar, modern setting. Instead of the pastoral suburban neighborhoods of earlier games, however, The Urbz plays out in a fast-paced city where style and reputation are the keys to success.<br><br>Players can design their Urbz characters from scratch, choosing gender, appearance, and name; many additional customization options become available as rewards for reaching certain in-game goals. Each game revolves around the player's single character, as he or she finds a job, makes friends, and gains the cultural understanding required to be accepted as an insider in the city's various districts. Each of the city's districts is designed with a unique cultural style, from the dangerous, seedy slums to snobby, high-society strips. <br><br>Shops in each area sell different items that can help the Urbz chase their goals and allow them to develop their own unique personalities, but in order to afford these things, they'll need to find a paying job. Unlike in earlier Sims games, players control their characters when they're at work, where they may gain new skills and abilities as well as a paycheck. <br><br>Most city areas also have clubs or other meeting places, but in order to fit in, the player's character will have to show respect to the locals and learn the social interactions they use. As Urbz become better acquainted with the particular styles and values of each area, their reputations increase, and they gain access to more locations, objects, and living arrangements. Ultimately, Urbz can develop a reputation that opens doors to the city's most luxurious penthouses, and wins them a friendly reception wherever they go.

    Another Sims game to feed your Sims addiction!

    Reviewed for Big Boss Games by: CRR The first two titles in the series by EA Games are The Sims and The Sims Bustin' Out, but make way for number three, The Urbz: Sims in the city. In The Urbz, you guide your Sim through life in nine very diverse culturally different districts, where you have to walk the walk and talk the talk. As in its two predecesors, in The Urbz, you have goals to achieve, bills to pay and promotions to obtain. The differences you'll find in this game are in the jobs you work and clothes you buy, which are district specific, and the other Sims you meet and interact with.     Urbz: a new Sim addiction!

    I really like this Sims version. In this Sims, you can control your sim at work and change thier clothes often. You can even give your Sim tattoos and peircings and then remove them a few moments later! I did not like that the instructions included in the game are not very descriptive, you are kind of left in the dark in the beginning. Then when you learn to play, it is fun and addictive, as many sims games are. Although this version has many new options, it is much easier to beat and gets repetative much more quickly. But, you can have more than one Sim out in the world at the same time!

    Very Fun

    I had this game for over a year and played it for hours and hours. I love how there are missions and a plot to it. And once you beat the game, its not over. There are ways you can make it easier for your next character to get through it easier to the mansion. Its so awesome how each district has its own set of personalities and new items. The music was a great idea. Its not nearly as annoying as other sims games. And there are mini games that make the game a bit more interesting. BUY IT! IF YOU LIKE THE SIMS, YOU WONT REGRET IT!

    My mother looked all over, we checked Ebay and BINGO!!!

    My mother was looking for a certain game for one of my nieces for Christmas. My mother had driven herself crazy checking almost every local electronic and department store in our area. I told her that we could check on Ebay for the game. After about 5 seconds there it was!!! She had a certain amount in mind that she was going to spend but much to her suprise, even after shipping costs, it was half the anticipated price. Needless to say my niece was ELATED when she opend her present!! As far as how the game is I'm not sure it was not for me, but my niece is a big fan of the Sims games and I'm sure she will tell you it is fun and she plays it all the time. Great work Ebay keep it up!!

    Used

    The product was slightly scratched when I got it but still works pretty okay. I’ve only have to restart the game once because of it skipping.
