Was going to get the less expensive 3020 but after reading many reviews went with the 5030 (not the UB model since I am hard wired) since it supposedly has a bit better picture quality. Wish I could do a side by side comparison since they are basically the same unit. Regardless this unit is super. I could not be happier. It is used in a high end media room with a 12 ft screen. If you are familiar with projectors the setup is very fast and easy. There is no manual (it comes on a disk which I have never used) so for a new user it might be a bit of a hassle. 2d is theater quality and 3d is amazing. As a bonus the ability to take 2d and simulate 3d is VERY GOOD. I am a NASCAR fan and the simulated 3d makes me feel like I am at the track. I purchased a video calibration disk to tweak the settings but have never used it since the factory defaults are so good. Have not used the built in speakers since the unit is attached to a 9.2 sound system.Vollständige Rezension lesen
After an exhausting amount of research in trying to get the best projector for my limited budget I thought this would be out of my price range however thank you eBay which allowed me to get a higher end product at a lower end price. We are waiting on our screen but even projecting on a wall the picture is bright and clear. This is a large projector, much larger than I imagined so beware if you have low ceilings or a small room. The bang for your buck is great! I would have loved 4K but the material is so limited right now that there is great value in non 4K so this projector hits the sweet spot. The contrast ratio is what sets it apart from so many of its counterparts at 600,000 : 1 so the blacks are black and the rights are bright.

I purchased two projectors at the same time. One was this Epson, and the other was a BenQ 4K projector. They were to be used in different rooms. The first thing that struck me was that the Epson had a better picture than the 4K BenQ, deeper blacks and a more brilliant picture. I lived with this for about two weeks, it drove me crazy that I spent more on the BenQ than the Epson, yet the Epson had the superior picture. I finally gave in, sold the BenQ and purchased another Epson; problem solved. I'll tell you, there is nothing better than watching football on a 120" screen.
