I bought this phone used and scuffed up on ebay for a great price. My 2nd Motorola krzr would only allow me to talk on speaker phone and I wasn't eligible for any upgrades. This LG Vx5200 in its used condition gave me a more affordable option. Verizon didn't charge for phone book transfer or for the activiation of this LG. The sound quality is great and even though it's been heavily used the phone functions wonderful. Activation was no problem. This seems like a phone (unlike my previous one) that will last a long time. While I haven't been in possession of this too long, it's obvious that someone else has been. Also, it's an older model that isn't available anymore. Yet, it works fine, has a camera, and does text messages. There aren't any fancy ringtones and as of yet, I can get the ringtone app to work on this phone. If that's what you're after (all the bells and whistles) this phone isn't for you. But if you want a realiable, affordable phone that does the minimum really well, then get an LG VX5200. Always read the seller description, but I would say to not be afraid to buy this phone used.Vollständige Rezension lesen
I bought this phone as a replacement for a lost one(the same model). I like it for many reasons. It's small. It has a battery life of almost a week, strong signal, quality sound, and it's so easy to use. The features have alot of options making it easy to customize to all your preferences. It has a quality speakerphone and is everything is voice activated. The camera is the only thing I think could use improvement. Anything more that 7 feet away is fuzzy. I used a samsung while waiting for this one to ship, the features were not as convenient but the camera was slightly better. I highly recommend this phone for the casual cell phone user like me.
Very good phone, LG makes a quality product and this is no exception. I bought this phone for my wife who doesn't use all the modern bells and whistles like web browsing, etc., and does very little texting. The only thing this phone lacks is caller I.D. on the outside display. If you are a big "call screener" you may want to look elsewhere, but if you're like my wife and pretty much answer every call, then this won't be a big deal. But overall, the quality is great, sound & clarity are great and there are no problems with this phone. This is a relatively inexpensive phone and you get a good deal for the money.
I recieved the phone for work as a field engineer and the phone has its drawbacks. The internet feature is useless to me because I won't pay extra for the service. The picture phone would be very handy if I could download the pics to my P.C. but no USB cable come with it. The phone is handy in the car because of the speaker on feature and it is easy to lock and unlock. The address book is time consuming to input addresses and numbers, again if I could inport my outlook address book from my PC it would be nice! All in all, without a walkie talkie feature, it's just a okay I'll take it for free for work phone. If your paying, go bluetooth and be able to interface with your computer, otherwise don't waste your money!
I used this phone for about 2 years, and it's never let me down. Although Verizon may cripple some of their phone features, there are ways around it (e.g., BitPim). Plus, they provide great signal. In my parents' neighborhood, this seems to be the only cell phone carrier to get signal (tried AT&T and T-Mobile). Overall, this is a great phone if all you want are the basic features (phone calls, texting, camera). It's not as feature-rich as the smartphones (e.g., Treo, Blackberry, iPhone, etc.), but it reliably gets the job done.
