The Breville One cup resembles a coffee pod machine and has the same footprint due to the water spout and drip tray. It is a sleek unit with a decent amount of brightwork and a pleasant blue hue to the clear water container and top switch when boiling. As the name suggests, it dispenses one cup (8 fl oz) of boiling water in 36 seconds and automatically shuts off. This is fast and obviously saves energy but bear in mind that the process has to be repeated for each cup of water that is required. The amount of water dispersed is also not variable so a favourite small cup may need to be replaced. Fortunately, any spillage goes into the drip tray which can take a cup-full before it needs emptying. The boiling process sounds the same as a normal kettle until the last few seconds when the volume increases considerably and the spout spits and splutters a little. Filling the Breville is similar to a conventional kettle - lift the main body off the electrical base, push the button above the handle to open the lid and fill with water to the Max mark. The opening for filling could be bigger and requires any combi-tap to be set to 'stream' to avoid getting soaked. Usefully, however, the Breville will dispense 5 cups of water before it needs re-filling. This is an ideal product for those who want one beverage quickly. Those who make a number of drinks at the same time may not see the advantage of this dispenser.Vollständige Rezension lesen

We've had dispenser kettles for quite a while now, when our last one became slow we decide to invest in another, the only ones that looked suitable were these Breville ones, not wanting to have to wait for each other's cup being brewed we bought 2, we also have 2 microwaves to facilitate simultaneous cooking.

Really impressed with this, very well made and is lovely to have hot water in an instant. My only beef is that I wish you could control the amount of water flow as my cups are too small for the dispensed amount. Easily solved though obviously! Got this for a great price at £26 odd and is well worth the money and will hopefully save money on electricity. Hubby didn't want it but now uses it all the time.... Well worth the investment, go for it.

I'm disabled and had been using a kettle tipper but then my mum was given one of these and I was sold. It's very easy to use, it boils a lot quicker than any kettle I've had and the added bonus is it fills the mug or whatever vessel you use for you. No more lifting or tipping kettle therefore risking boiling water being spilt everywhere

Great if you don’t want to spend lots more on a similar type of kettle. A few minor niggles are refilling is a bit fiddly as you need to lift up the kettle, turn it around and pour the water through a smallish hole at the top of the kettle. It’s easy to spill the water but this really is minor. It can be a bit noisy when boiling. First world problems!
