Great soundtrack from an amazing film!
For those of you who have never seen the movie "Foxfire", I need to tell you it's worth checking out. The same holds true for the soundtrack, which I recommend highly. Featuring The Cramps, L7, and Candlebox, the CD has a good mix of angst and good old grunge-rock. In 1994, when this CD was released, America was in the midst of a music revolution-suddenly grunge and alternative were mainstream, and all the kids that didn't fit in were suddenly the cool kids. This CD is a strong representation of the dynamics of that time-a blend of sadness {"You"} and rebellion {"Trouble", with the catchy refrain "Uh-oh, we're in trouble, something's come along and it's burst our bubble"}. When asked what the music scene of the 90's was like, I would not hesitate to use this soundtrack as a prime example!

"Use Your Fingers" to play this CD!!
The Bloodhound Gang's notorious for hilarious lyrics and strong beats, with this album being the strongest, funniest one. From "Pretty When I'm Drunk" to "We Are the Knuckleheads", the group's talents for mockery and music come together to create a fun party CD. They're the class clowns of the 90's music scene, and every song attests to that. This CD even features a monologue by Rip Torn, and, to the delight of my inner child, remakes of "Kids in America" and "Kids, Inc." I would unflinchingly recommend it to anyone, provided they weren't prudish {some of the lyrics are a little bawdy!}

one of my favorite rap cd's!!
DMX is known for his growling delivery and ghetto lyrics. This Cd, in particular, also features danceclub faves, like "Party Up" and "Good Girls, Bad Guys", as well as the tough, 90's classic "What's My Name?" In short, this Cd is still as biting, fun, and relevant as it was when I first listened to it!
