The one I bought is the Mk1 version. Very nice sounding with a very warm middle-y sound naturally. I bought it to amplify speakers from my PC in a small office room and it sounds great through some old technics speakers I had. I also really like the headphone amp sound through my Sennheiser HD650s; better than the creek headphone amp I use normally :) Pity the sound sometimes only comes out of the right channel; it was sold as 100% working order...hmmm. Anyway, I just need to tap the volume knob to get it to come out of left and right sides. No big deal really though for what must be a 20 year old amp.

This is a great amp to get you started with a well rounded sound and rated very highly in it's day. British made and a good solid build quality. It not only feels solid it is solid. It has a separate bass, treble, balance and volume controls and a selection knob that allows tuner, CD, AV/DVD and AUX/Phono inputs to be selected. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is that it only allows one set of speakers to be plugged in. Also worth noting there is no head phone socket. But the sound is fantastic, so that's the main thing.
For sure one of the best sounding integrated amp, the old school and amongst the best of Cambridge Audio. Sound is natural and all instruments sound the way they should. Vocals are also great.

This amp sounds lovely and was advertised at a very affordable price. The one small improvement I can think of is a phono pre-amp, as the signal from my turntable is a bit weak, though still plays very audibly at louder volumes. Pre-amps are available separately, online,

I was very pleased with this amp. I had one years ago that's why I bought this used one. Sounds great. I use it in my studio with a pair of Gale mini monitors to check my mixes on a ' home hifi' The amp is very accurate for the price range and adds very little couloration to the mix
