Wanted to read this book again' had read I many years ago. Watched the new DVD that came out and was rather frustrated as didnt do the whole story. Three DVDs to cover the book. Had to get another copy and readthebook. Los of things missing from DVD hat is in the book but I find this with lots f films that are adapted for TV.
I bought this to replace an old and rather worn copy of The Hobbit. I am quite pleased by this version starting with the compelling cover art. As fans of J.R.R. Tolkien will already know, this is a timeless classic. I suspect sales will go up sharply once the movie comes out next year!
excellent book great read. I should have read this book before reading the Lord of the Rings as it gives a grounding for of Hobbits
