Speaking of Palm handhelds, one will find Sony-made ones called best. Introdusing 65500+ color bright hi-res 320x320 screen, sound, hold switch and famous Jog Dial, Sony got it's niche in market with N-series. While missing some modern battery-eating bells and whistles such as Wi-Fi and bluetooth, this Clie features robust basic-and-much-more-than-basic handheld abilities without beind feature-overloaded and thus overpriced. All other Palm standart abilietes of cource presents and with a lot of Sony added ones. This PDA has been my favorite for a while because it has all the ordinary functions that a PDA has plus the audio player capability. However, the contact point of the charging has been annoying. Sometimes it won't charge when it sits on the cradle, and I have to turn it on and make sure that the charging symbol on the screen is on. The other thing that I don't like is that whenever the battery goes off, the data will be wiped clean and the whole system will be reset. So whenever I forget to recharge the battery, I'll have to go through the trouble of resetting all the settings and restore the database again. What a pain!
ok this is an older model of clie . battery life is kindof short compared to cell phones or mp3 players . while this does play music . it has very little storage for it . the card mem. accepted in this item is only 64k . it will not hold anything bigger . learning curve for me was acceptable . pretty useless without the software to sync with computer . needs to be reset a lot . make sure you back it up with computer periodically . ok amount of free programs on the net . ok starter personal device . not really worth more than 25 or so $ .
Have had minimal experience with PDA's. Currently, I use a Blackberry Curve. However, I wanted the extra applications that would provide reading, audio, and visual capabilities that this PDA offered. Thus far I've barely gotten into the applications, but I've found the versatility I wanted. The Sony Clie so far's answered my need.
This has evrything that was advertised. Have been able to utilize this everyday at work. It is very easy to use, charge, load with ebooks and the color screen makes letters very visible. Rates very highly in comparison to some other different models that I have owned.
