In short - I like this lens. If you want something cheap, light and good enough to walk around with a FX body (I use it on Nikon D700 and Nikon F6) - get one. I have bought two copies of this lens, its that good :) For sure - it must be clear - this lens does not hold a candle to the higher grade Nikon glass, especially in the build quality department. Actually I bought my second copy in order to replace the first one, that died during a 50cm fall, together with the camera. The camera didnt get a scratch, but the lens broke open on the spot. BUT yet again - optically it is a steal for the money. Both F6 & D700 perform miraculously well. This lens, 17/3.5 and 50/1.8 are my super-light pack.
