I was sceptical about buying this set as I have seen poor reviews when comparing it to the older set. How ever the updated mini figures and new features more than make up for it. Yes the front end is round but this is Lego it's supposed to be a bit blocky! And no it does not NEED a cannon but with the flap shut you don't even know it's there! I sold the old to get the new and am glad I did it looks so much more at home next to the palace and rancor pit. Also the sails are much easier to clean thanks to them being made of laminate instead of fabric. It's a bit shorter than the original and that is the only real criticism I have.
