Being new to the android market, I decided to start small & dip my toe with the Wildfire S which I was quite impressed with. Small yet fulfilling is the most adequate way to describe my experience of this device. My switch to the Desire HD was fuelled by a desire(pardon the pun) to gain a performance boost from the Android device & see what more I could get.I was immediately impressed with the faster processor, improved visuals & of course the 8 Megapixel camera to say the least.Overall I would give this phone a healthy 7.5/10 mainly due to the recently released Samsung Galaxy S3 & I phone 5 which leave the Desire HD looking like a mediocre device. I personally love the device & would recommend it's good performance & at reasonable price, a decent phone to have.
This is the first smartphone I've owned so I have nothing to compare it too in that sense but I can say the WiFi and Internet connection speed are wonderful, so is the 8mp camera (which was the main reason I went for this phone) the zoom is good as well. The keyboard is not as good as the my iPod Touch is but the predictive text and ease of adding new words makes up for it and besides I just flip it landscape anyway when I text. I have to charge it up twice a week but that is only because I have it constantly scanning for internet and WiFi connection plus the actual using of the internet to.
This is my second HTC phone the htc desire. By modern standard such as the Samsung galaxy s 3 it a little dated. However this phone still packs s punch and does everything I need it too. With the on coming 4G net work on its way this phone will not be compatiable yet for me after getting my last HTC desire s soaking wet rendering it useless this is an excellent replacement while we await 4 G techknowledgy. I would however definately recommend this phone and give it a 4out of five star rating although the battery life is not good this is easily remedeed by buying a more powerful battery 2400 mah and at just 140 pounds its a steel.
My first decent touch screen phone and I love it. Battery isn't great but I just bought a spare charger to keep at work and that's the problem sorted. Easy to use. Typing is pretty good, getting used to it after having button phones. Beware though about the data usage. Def turn the Internet off when you are not using it. I used 300gb of data in 2 weeks and O2 ended up turning my Internet off. Now I turn the net on when it's needed and I have used 59gb in 2 weeks. Quite a difference. Overall a fab phone :) love it.
Nice phone, great camera a bit on the chunky side but still comfortable to hold and use. could do with better screen resolution, bigger battery. but a very good overall phone
