I've read some DIY instructions on replacing these motors but I don't have Glade automatic fresheners laying around the house and a soldering kit. Nor am I particularly proficient at soldering (I took one engineering class in HS; I don't even regard myself as an amateur). When all is said and done, you'll easily spend $25-30 to replace one of these motors (not expensive in itself; but time consuming and can be a hassle). These motors are put together very precisely and professionally with the components for the swing (capacitor and diode) and we're very easy to install. Our swing works as good as new! I'd recommend these motors over the DIY method any day! Thank you.

I am a mom of 2 young kids (baby and toddler) and was able to fix the hand down swing that stopped working. Took a bit of effort and some youtube videos, but item was great help to fix without soldiering. I had to strip wire ends (used my nail clipping scissors) but other than that item was ready to be installed. Now baby is back to swing that works again. And when baby is happy, so is mommy. :)

At the low price I was very skeptical, and when it showed up and did not have a resistor or diode connected to the back of it like the factory one, I was a little nervous it was going to work well or long for that matter. We have a pair of twins that use these swings almost nonstop, Which is why we wore one of these motors out already (3 months on the factory motor). I installed this a week ago, moved the resistor and diode from the original motor to this one, and have been running this thing at least 12 hours a day sense. It has not skipped a beat! I would definitely buy another one if I had to!

This is a good price to be able to repair our swing. I was very glad to get it working again so we didn’t have to buy a whole new swing. It was a bit tricky to get the worm drive running quietly - if I had to do it again I’d probably take some measurements of the original before disassembly. I think that part of the unit is pretty tight so it is more prone to rub a bit wrong even if it is slightly off. That said, I’m not a particularly handy guy and this was definitely doable.

I have a fisher price snugabunny swing, we call it the family swing, it was used by 3 kids in my family and will be used by my son when he's born this month and will go to my cousin when she has her kid in a year. Well the motor went out while being used on the last kid lol I found this motor, all I used was a pair of nail clippers and a Philips screwdriver! Common sense I didn't use the instructions that come with it, I didn't need it. Took 30 minutes it was quick and easy soooo much cheaper then buying a new swing!
