I had never owned, played, or even seen a Lynx in person but after reading up on it I decided to take the plunge. I bought one new-in-box and picked up some games. This thing in fantastic!!! I can not believe it was the FIRST handheld system available, even before the Game Boy. Not only is it color, it is also backlit!!! It is a 16-bit system, and has a nice variety of games. If you are a fan of retro games, I suggest you read up on this system and pick one up, you WON'T be disappointed!!!

I fell in love with the Atari Lynx and it's gaming library is fun. Purchasing this modded Lynx is the best experience bringing life into these games from 25 years ago. The craftsmanship on this system was very clean and very well done. I highly recommend to any Retro Game Collector

If you're thinking of buying an Atari Lynx, there's some things you must keep in mind. 1.Ask the seller questions. Be sure the console is 100% functional. 2. If possible, buy a refurbished Lynx 2. 3. Buy an ac adapter or use Eneloop AA batteries. You'll need 6 AA. 4. Shop around and buy a Lynx bundle. Some sellers will offer a case, some games, maybe even an ac adpater. Prices may vary, so shop wisely. 5. Look at the seller's return policy. If anything goes wrong, would the seller offer a full refund? About a week ago, I bought an Atari Lynx from a seller. Just one day after receiving it, the console wouldn't turn on, with batteries or ac adapter. So I returned it to the buyer and received my money back. I've been a long time Retro video gaming fan as long as I can remember. The Lynx 2 came out in 1989 or so, about the same time as the Gameboy. It was twice the cost of the old GB, and it would eat up 6 AA batteries for breakfast. There wasn't a whole lot of games for the lynx, but there were enough good titles to keep interest in the console. The Atari Lynx 2 is smaller than the original Lynx. Has a more streamlined design, if you will. One of the cool things about the Lynx is you can actually "flip" the screen to accomodate left handed players! The picture quality and sound are surprisingly good for such an old console. The screen is nice and big, unlike the puny GB screen. Playing games on the Lynx is very comfortable. If you have large hands or small, you can play for hours, but be sure to take a short break. The Lynx 2 may not compare to today's handheld consoles like the 3DS XL, but it has something for everyone, especially if you enjoy playing retro video games from the early days.Vollständige Rezension lesen
It is insane how great this thing looks. I have an original side by side and my original looks like trash compared to the modded one. Must buy for any Lynx fan. 😁😁😁😁😁

Great console. Worth putting in the game museum but like most early 90s systems memory is better than current. Graphics are a bit slow but upgrading this to a modern LCD is worth the fee and games are available. Way ahead of its time.
