BEST CHOICE AT THIS PRICE

Braun has always been a good product but quality declined when manufacture transferred from Germany to Mexico. The brand seems to have rebounded since it moved to the U.S., now being made by DeLonghi "under German standards", whatever that means. These standards seem higher than DeLonghi's own, since DeLonghi's coffee makers are not so highly rated. You can certainly pay less for a drip coffee maker, but its performance will be less good. If you use high quality coffee and grind it yourself, you deserve a maker which will match it.

LIKE ELVIS ON SUN, REVISITED

Bobby at his best (the two Private Stock LPs with Link) was great. Moving to RCA, he never captured the raw passion of those records but was still an oasis for the times - I hardly listened to any rock then except him, Commander Cody and J.Geiis..His greatest asset was his voice, but it diminished along with the quality of the material, so he's all but forgotten despite some valiant comeback attempts. Not all these cuts were "lost", some appeared on previous LPs, but there's nothing here to wow you. Get "The Humbler" first, a live recording with Danny Gatton, who seemed to inspire Bob as Link had to get inside himself, and damn the torpedoes.
