Screen protector fit is good, outside skin is adequate
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Too be clear, this is only a review of the skin for the Microsoft Surface Book 2 15" and not a reflection of any of their other products/skins.
1. Oddly, the screen protector was the easiest and cleanest to install, even though it was a wet install. Clear, no bubbles and fit pretty well.
2. The big pieces of skin for the top/bottom of the laptop is where I have a problem. I was pretty careful installing it via the video instructions and even though the skins went on smoothly, there were at least 15 bubbles on the top and about 10 on the bottom.
I squeezed as much of them out as possible, but was still left with most of them. No problem I thought, the instructions say several times that the bubbles will disappear after about five days.
It's been two weeks now and they are still there (see some in the photo). Finally, I decided to use a safety pin to prick the bubbles and that took care of most of them.
3. The top skin does not fit correctly for this model. Not sure if it is a quality issue or they just reused the first model skin (I don't know how much difference there is between the two Surface Book models), but as you can see from the picture, after lining up the mic/camera holes and two sides as much as possible, the skin does not fit correctly (see around the logo) and doesn't reach the other edges. If I line it up with the logo, then the mic/camera are out of wack.
Same problems with the bottom skin, bubbles and not a good fit.
I didn't bother applying all the little side and hinge skins as there were just way too many small pieces and not worth the trouble. Not their fault, just the way the laptop is designed.
Basically, I was just looking for some fingerprint and dirt protection for the screen and outside. Screen fit is good, outside skin is adequate.
It'll work for what I need, but if you're picker than I am about precision, you won't be happy.
