Good horn
Im a 50 yr pro This is a good horn to compliment my others.. I have owned at least 60 or 70 and as a tech played hundreds of saxophones.

serious design flaw
I have played saxophone professionally for 50 yrs . I own 3 Selmer ,1 Couf and 1 Yanagisawa Baritone saxophones. I own 2 Walt Johnson as well as the original cases. There is no protection for the "pigtail" at the top of the horn. When the case is on the floor a lot of the weight of the horn is on the receiver part of the top of the horn. A firm foam block up in that area would solve the problem easily. I can,t put my $8,000-12,000 horn in there without putting a modification in the case. All other cases I have ( 6) solve this problem properly. I called Protec and they seemed very unconcerned about it This can damage your horn. I am also a professional woodwind tech so I know what I am talking about I wanted to add that I still use this case with my own modification a little more padding up by the pigtail and it would be perfect.
