Incredible album
Lo and behold a punk band that hardly anyone has heard of has managed to produce one of the greatest punk albums that I have ever heard. Shattered Mirror Syndrome is as great as hardcore and political punk gets. They have a sound similar to that of the best of early AFI, and lyrics that I'd say might even be better than the politically charged best lyrics of Bad Religion. This album is incredible, and it is a NECESSITY to read the lyrics along as you listen to it, because Marc Riot is a poetic genius. My favorite songs on this album are the first three tracks: Breaking Old Tablets, All For God and a Gun For All, Save The Humans and the seventh track I believe, Patriot. The instrumentals are great, especially the guitars and the bass on some tracks, and Marc's voice is perfect within the songs. This is a MUST-LISTEN TO for any punk band, and it makes me truly sad they only released this and one other album before breaking up. Incredible album. America needs this band back now. Right fucking now.

Product simply does not aork
Have extensively followed all instructions. No way else to say it, but product simply does not work. Does it blow air? Yes. Does it blow cool air AT ALL, or air condition AT ALL? No.

One of the best hardcore punk albums ever?
Back when AFI wasn't a sell out pop band, they produced some gems. This album "Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes", is simply, a fantastic hardcore punk album. If you like melodic punk, listen to their other early albums, this stuff is just hardcore. The riffs are fast and dark, the bass work is great, and the drums are as great as they come for tempos at such a furious pace. Davey Havok's voice is perfect and he sings so angrily and personally, I love his voice. My favorite song on here is "A Single Second". For fans of hardcore punk, this album is a MUST listen to, along with their albums "Black Sails in the Sunset", and "The Art of Drowning" (though Black Sails is less hardcore, and AOD is not at all).
