Fast cutting, Great feedback, Good quality, Good value
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich This review is coming from someone who is relatively new in knife sharpening, so take it with a grain of salt. The stone is really smooth, pretty fast cutting, really good quality and has great feedback. The size is also pretty big, which really helps when sharpening single bevel japanese knives. But it also wears down fast. In the photos is the stone after two intense sharpening sessions on carbon steel yanagiba. There was quite a lot of metal to remove in those sharpenings and the stone got a bit concave, so I'll be flattening it soon.
Given that it is a water stone, it is expected to wear down a bit fast, so I'd say it's normal. Overall, I am very satisfied with the Cerax 1010.
