This bell is a useless waste of money
This door bell is garbage, luckily I never drilled the holes to fit it. Upon arrival i fitted brand new batteries into the receiver, popped in the door bell battery and tested it. I first placed the receiver, standing up, on my kitchen table and walked back, approx 3 mteres, pressed the bell, NO chime, took 2 steps forward, pressed it again and it chimed. SO range is approx 2-3 netres in direct line of sight, far from "long range".
I then put the receiver on my hall table, went out the front door, closed the door and pushed the bell button, NO chime went off, distance from front door to hall table is 3 - 4 paces.
For my last test I went up the stairs, 13 small steps, in my hallway, put down the receiver, went to the bottom of the stairs, pressed the bell, NO chime.
So this is all but useless as a door bell.

lasted 8 months
It was an average performing mouse for the 8 months I had it before the left mouse button packed in, meaning it then became useless. So take that into consideration when buying, it literally did not last a year, merely 8 months.
