TOH has attractive pictures and fun recipes

Lots of delicious looking cookies. We always make something from each of our TOH books so this will be fun during the holidays. We've already made quite a few TOH cookies this past Christmas - my guess is they are in this book

Great recipes

I have tried a variety of recipes from this book and have enjoyed each one. I now have a few favorites. The info shared on each recipe is fun to read and the majority of these recipes are easy to make with easily found ingredients.

cranberry lemon bars are a go to recipe for every event

I made the cranberry lemon bars in this issue and I had to make it for every event after that. The bar recipe is worth the cost of the magazine alone. A teenage neighbor asked me if I will be making these again for the holidays as I give him a pan full. This magazine has beautiful photography and tempting recipes. I'm glad I added this to my collection. - I removed parchment after I cut it up - it says to remove parchment after lifting out of pan but that will smash the topping. Note: I keep a small pot near the stove - I toss fruit rinds, vanilla pods and cinnamon sticks in when I'm finished using them in dishes - at some point - I add liquid and cranberries and simmer all day to scent the house with holiday smells. Extra: Instead of the crust called for in this recipe - - This is also delicious in phyllo cups, and also pastry shells cut to fit muffin tins I've tried all 3 ideas or crust - the phyllo make it easy and fast, the pastry shells are amazing - this is a keeper recipe = I give these for gifts, often
