A great all around printer!
I had this printer before, purchased around 2014. When the print head failed, I investigated fixing that, or buying another one. I opted to search out another one just like my previous model.
While on the hunt for another HP 6600, I purchased an Epson printer from Walmart, the tank model, and I could tell with the first printed sheet that it wasn't as clear, sharp or color intense. I was not happy with it at all. There were also lines through the prints. I thought "operator error" and messed with different settings etc, but it just did not have the crispness I was used to. I use my printer to print out photos of my artwork so clearly, they have to be great quality photos.
I'm so glad I found one, NIB, for a reasonable price. They can get awfully expensive, so clearly I am not the only one who appreciates these printers. There probably are other, good quality printers out there- but this one is familiar to me and I am sticking with it.

Glass like finish
Excellent varnish. Goes on smoothly and dries quickly to a glass like finish
