poor design, nice material.
the screw holes are right against the flange that goes through the surface material, and so, there in no to little material between the screw and the flange, so the grip is compromised not having a full circle of material for the screw to go through. No way to use a bolt and nut, with no clearance between the flange and the mounting screw hole. And, if you cut the hole any bigger than perfect, one or more screws have no material to go in, at all. Very poor engineering as far as mounting. Good material, though, and nice fit and design, otherwise. One would probably want to drill their own mounting holes, a little further out on the surface flange.
