Hidden treasure

This AMC 5751 tube is, in my opinion, one of the best NOS bargains you can get these days, so get it while you can... Made from Mullard tooling by BEL in India this tube is maybe not a genuine Mullard tube, but BEL produced tubes for Mullard back in the days. Interestingly, and to my knowledge Mullard did not produce 5751 tubes? I bought this tube just to test how a lower gain tube would sound in my guitar amplifier, and; WOW!!!, what a pleasant surprise it was. I've done a lot of "tube rolling" over the years, and this tube is one of the best tubes I've ever tried. The lower gain will not suit every guitar amp out there, but in the right amp, and if you're looking for a cleaner sound and somewhat more controlled distortion I really recommend this tube. I've also compared this tube to a GE 5751 (50's) with black plates and three micas (to some a Holy Grail tube?), and other 5751's, and in my amplifier this AMC tube is on par with the GE. There is a little difference, of course, but to my ears the AMC-BEL sounds just as great. Not to mention the insane prices of the "three micas"... It really opened up the sound, and I will never go back to 12AX7 tubes in this amp, a 20 Watt Vibe Amplification combo with one 10" speaker and 2XEL84 output tubes. Absolutely not microphonic either. Tube Connoiseurs out there may not agree with me, but I really don't care. Tubes act differently in different amplifiers, and the only way to find out is to try a lot of different tubes. It all depends on what sound you're looking for.

Rock Solid and Tight

This speaker cable is super solid, look cool, sounds great, and what's most important to me is that that the Compression Springs keep the cable securely connected to the socket when I play my amp loud. Other cables, with otherwise great plugs have a tendency to fall out because of the the vibration from the speakers. This cable's plugs are the tightest, and best plugs I've ever tried. Just play, don't worry about loose connections anymore.
