It is neat because it's cheaper than the original
But there is a lot of background noise even at local FM stations. I live on the countryside where there should be low to no RF interference and I have strung up a ~40m wire as antenna.
I think it could be fixed with a metal case and some ferrite noise clamps on the wires.
Ps. Be sure to buy a good portable antenna since the one in the package is of low quality and barely long enough for FM channels.

Too good quality for its price!
5 von 5 finden das hilfreich When I bought this desoldering station I didn't expect it to be in too great of a quality, but I was wrong. Coming from China, the Katsu ZD-8915 although being cheap is not like your average flimsy and ready to fall apart quality, it is actually pretty sturdy for being almost entirely made of plastic and it is easy to maintain (removing the tube to clean it) and it didn't clog up during the time I tested it.
It has really good suction so the solder just rushes in through the tip and splash against the back end of the tube on the "gun" making sure it won't clog up behind the tip.
The pump is not too loud and I don't see any way of making it super silent since these kind of pumps are a bit on the louder side when expecting a great suction and flow.
The whole thing does not rattle with loose parts as I press the trigger and it reaches temps in the matter of seconds(about 10s or less to reach 370°C).
Then comes the design, I love it. It's not as boring as other desoldering stations, looking like they came from the early computer days. it has a modern design and kind of a futuristic look to it and the "gun" feels great in the hand.
The display is bright and easy to read and the beeps it does as you set it up aren't screeching loud as is usually common with Chinese electronics.
Note: the tips are pre-tinned so they are clogged from start but as you fire up the station, give it some time to melt the solder before pressing the trigger for the first time.
This review is only a first hand look and I don't know how it will perform in the long run but as I get more experience with the machine this review may change, but so far I'm really happy with it.
