Bell Helmets Black/Red/Titanium Qualifier Blaze Helmet ( Size L ) 7092775
25. Jun 2019
Quality & Affordability
The Bell company has been producing great motorcycle helmets for decades, so regardless the changes, establishment is a factor to consider. The main thing is a safety device which meets or exceeds DOT standards. As far as style and graphic design, this helmet is more appealing than most, particularly with the use of a bright red color which contributes to being noticed. Noticeability being a very important factor in rider safety, which seems to be nicely and tastefully accommodated by Bell Helmets with a variety of colors, graphics and styles. The graphics are meant to be viewed from fifteen, plus, feet away or more, so highly detailed graphics aren't really all that essential. At least this is the practical application and desire of most average intelligent drivers. When spending less than $150 for a helmet, the chance of it being associated with a show stopper throphy winner is slim. I hear in mind that most motorcycle helmets never save a life or prevent an injury, because most Motorcyclist never need a helmet for the reasons that it's intended, but, if I choose to wear a helmet, there's minimal requirements which I expect to be met, and I think that Bell brand helmets accomplish a lot of good at a more affordable price than the few other competitors. I refer to only a few manufacturers, because material, styling, application, practicality, quality and functionality are important deciding factors. Bell Motorcycle Helmets still provide a terrific product at an affordable price. Fitment is competitively great. I suggest going to a large retailer, or several stores, and actually try on various helmets. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT FIT BASED UPON A SIZING CHART BASED UPON CROWN MEASUREMENTS. Nothing is better than actually wearing helmets to determine ideal fitment! Helmets are apparently designed to fit fairly snug, yet not too tight. Chances are, we have a bigger noggin than we may assume. Cheeks shouldn't be squeezed so much that whistling isn't possible. The functional air flow vents provide a nice breeze as intended, with the option of closing, both on top as well as in front of the mouth area. The vision shield functions well with several position staying points being offered. Bear in mind that, while a dark color looks most appealing in an advertisement, that a purchase often includes only a clear face shield. Tinted or UV reflective shields are usual around $50 more to purchase separately. The chin strap meets standards and is as functional and operational as any quality helmet with the standard superior features. Just like the balance required to successfully ride and operate a bike, there's a practical balance required to being a serious rider who's taken seriously. Otherwise we may be part of an element that's most focused on appearance, fashionable expenditure, brand name and straightline party voting! Most serious riders never owned anything that was popular or "required, and it is they who rule the story and not their equipment or machine. Nearly all major manufacturers are well established and produce superior safe and practical machines with a nice variety which establishes them as great. Bell is a great company as well and I'm glad that they've passed the test of time. If I decide to wear a helmet, I want comfort and practicality as well as safety and style. I believe that this Bell helmet will sufficiently help if a situation dictates that it protect a head. I hope and pray that I will never need to physically know. Safe & smart.

Cold Steel US Marine NCO Saber Scabbard 88MNS
30. Dez 2015
A Bad Change Has Occurred
Several years ago, the knife and sword manufacturer, Cold Steel, began to produce a real carbon steel United States Marine Corps NCO Saber that was actually capable of battle use. A competitively durable metal with a sharp blade. By a large part, it was a great reproduction that included the critical differentiating traditional, distinguishable and historical etched artwork along the blade, as well as other craftsmanship details which are essential to adequately representing the USMC NCO Saber. Cold Steel has been "asked" to discontinue producing their reproduction of this saber/sword. As of 2015, Cold Steel ceased production of the traditional USMC NCO Saber and began producing a compliant alternative version. The newest compliant version saber, excludes much of the traditional etched artwork elements. Namely the Eagle, Globe and Anchor along with colonial flag, the Star of Damascus and the words "United States" are eliminated from the new design, thus drastically altering the desirable saber into a much less desirable departure. Unfortunately, these alterations are still so new that both sellers and buyers are unaware of these significant changes. Some sellers just don't care and others are sadly being deceitful and misrepresenting what they're actually selling ...able to deliver. Understandably, plenty of buyers won't care much either. However, the more particular buyers need to beware and make ample inquiries prior to purchase. Naturally, most people won't understand how many conversations took place over the span of many decades within certain circles of Marine warriors who thought it ludacris that only mere stainless steel un-sharpened reproductions were authorized. A more than slight discomfort for particularly an infantryman who's trained to conduct battle with numerous extremely lethal, harmfully dangerous, weapons of various varieties, yet deprived of the honor to hold and possess a "battle ready" saber. How would it be possible to have such a non wall hanger display model produced, with respect to the traditional USMC NCO Saber? Who is competent and capable of rendering a real carbon steel blade, the adequate details necessary in the etched artwork, as well as the other expected details? And, make it reasonably affordable? Fortunately, Cold Steel had the confidence to appease the desires of a few particularly warriors. Plenty appreciative civilians purchasedo the now original version as well, but for only these past several years. For many decades to come, we will be grateful for the efforts and provision that Cold Steel has afforded us. Who knows when such a saber will again be produced? It's a slightly understandable shame that this production ceased, but at least a few of the few proud warriors have finally been granted their yearning desire to own and hold a real deal of something that they are honored to have earned the right to bare and behold. Basically, the bottom line is this. If it's a Cold Steel version of the USMC NCO Saber, and it eliminates the Star of Damascus artwork at the base of the blade, its the newer version sword. Only time and demand will determine the value of these two very different Cold Steel reproductions. A heads-up warning to those who are by persuasion and influence maybe more particular and discerning. Now that I own several of the original versions as well as a newer version, I think that it's important to recognize that all versions, no matter which manufacturer it has been produced by, are reproductions/replicas. The original true to tradition & history Cold Steel replica, is a saber to be just as proud of, if perhaps more so, as any ceremonial authorized stainless steel safe for grade-schoolers saber. A sword that a warrior can be proud to own, or just another replica that falls short of those essential elements which make this saber worthy of ownership, by those who've earned it. Such a choice has been made possible within a nation that sets the standard of liberty, justice, lifestyle and the pursuit of happiness! Semper Fidelis
