It does my whole job! I couldn't wish for anything better.
I use this camera shooting real estate photos for valuation from my car seat. The zoom will bring the address off the side of the house right into your seat!! It's super easy to use, HD, and 720 DPI is better than average for my job.
I use rechargeable batteries with it with no problems.
I have used the video in areas where it isn't really safe to stop for long, and edited stills in the office. No problems.
I shoot left handed while driving, and for that reason wish it had a "beefier" lanyard. That's my only complaint.
This is another great product from Canon!

There is a light like this that is rechargeable - THIS ISN'T IT!
There is a another light that looks like this, except it is rechargeable. I own 3. The light lens is frosted, it came with a permanent rechargeable battery and has 2 intensity settings, and is perfect for a music stand.
this unit comes with no batteries, a USB power cable (in case you happen to be working inside your computer while it's still plugged in) and one intensity setting-harsh.
I tried to sell it on E-Bay, but it seems the only one not paying attention was me.
Still, with all that being said, I'm going to keep it.
With a head band, I can attach this to the back of my head this Halloween and go as an alien.
