1 von 1 finden das hilfreich My goal is to read all of Jean Plaidy's historical fiction. This book is about Mary Tudor, Queen of Scots, daughter of Henry VII, sister of Henry VIII. Her marriage was arranged in order to bring peace between England and Scotland. She married King James IV of Scotland at the age of 14 and led a turbulent life of love and intrigue at the Scottish court and married twice more after the death of her husband, James. During her life time there was no peace between the two countries, but through her descendants, England and Scotland would unite as one nation, under one rule, and find peace.

Lisa Genova makes, what could be a dull subject, really interesting and understandable. Also she spells out the symptoms of Alzheimer's and when not to worry about just forgetfulness. I bought several copies to give as gifts.
