A fun filled family experiance.
The movie The Color of Magic is based on Terry Pratchett's first to Discworld books; The Color of Magic and The Light Fantastic. The movie and books take place on a fantasy world that is flat and sits on the backs of four giant elephants who in-turn stand on the shell of an even more giant turtle. The movie follows the adventures of the Disc's first tourist and his hapless wizard/tour guide companion through their travels around the Disc.
This is actually a two part movie and runs a little over 3 hours with a part 1 and 2 menu choice. I really enjoyed this film with the slight aside that for those that have read the books it is just a portion of the over-all read.
I would recommend this for all viewers, with some minor parental caution.

Terry Pratchett plays with magic.
Great story of what happens when magic gets out of control. Very humorous with a wink at reality.
