HP TC1100 Tablet With Detatchable Keyboard

This is an actual slate netbook. I just can't justify paying so much for the iPad when I have a computer that does so much more at a decent price used/refurbished. This is not a multitouch(fingertip)interface, you need to use the digital pen and may have difficulties finding batteries for it. The pen is not too thick but I have seen smaller ones. The TC1100 is heftier than my Acer Mini but I can detach the keyboard if I want to use it as a tablet. I use an external usb drive to load software if traveling because the tablet does not utilize a drive unless you use a docking station if an outlet is available then you can use the built-in drive. However, it does have a wireless card and bluetooth if you get one included. The glass seems sturdy and the casing has a nice feel to it. People do a double take on this when I pull it out because they think it's an iPad. I think it is a little better? Internal memory is a little technical to get to but does have a memory slot you can access easily under a cover on the back. Most of these are out of manufacturer's warrant and if you feel comfortable getting to the internal memory after doing some research, I recommend replacing it. The tablet is also much easier to tote around than my HP with the 17" screen which I do not feel comfortable throwing around my truck while running around the ranch roads!
