If you are annoyed enough, worth the money.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Tried those little spring over pin type ones that mount on the hinges on a steel garage entrance door. OK, but not great. Those require frequent lubrication and adjustment. Eventually, the springs break, because the ones I found did not feature top quality springs. To help them last longer, I used two on the door, but still no dice in the long run. There are definitely different quality springs, such as the ones in automobile engines that operate the valves. They cycle billions of times without failure. I got tired of changing and adjusting, so bought this unit. The advantage of this unit is it closes and latches the door from any position, even if you open the door just one inch. The negative is the closer puts up a little resistance to opening the door, so you have to push, pull a little more than you may be used to. After a while, you get used to it. Don't buy a cheap one (less than $30 or so), I looked and researched a bit, and the cheap ones almost universally got bad reviews. Good ones can go all the way into the $500.00 range, but you can find them for less (as I did). Once installed and properly adjusted, they require no maintenance.

1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Setup and wiring is easier than most for this particular brand model. Quick disconnect plug helps. The issue with many brands of these I have used over the years is that with time, sensitivity decreased, triggering the light becomes erratic, and ultimately, they stop working properly or don't work at all. Look for five to ten years of service life, then you'll probably be changing it out.

0 von 1 finden das hilfreich Aside from how a keyboard is promoted for its features, many variables affect how it works. Required key pressure, keyboard angle, and sensitivity all vary. In the manufacturing world, they refer to it as 'tactile feel'. Durability is another factor. This keyboard works, but its just not great. The keys all feel loose on the horizontal plane. Very clickety-clackety. The other issue is distance of travel. They have about 30-40% too much vertical travel. The keyboard has no USB port for a mouse, so if you are using a wired mouse, it had better reach a port somewhere or anti up a couple more dollars for a USB extension cable. I've bought third party keyboards for my Mac that cost just five dollars more, but the difference was like night and day. I have a feeling I won't be keeping this unit in service very long, I just can't get used to it.
