basic
Despite the plot flaws,
it's an enjoyable dog movie.
Especially when looking for an
adult themed dog movie.
I thought the ending could have
been a bit better perhaps. But
it works.
It could have some more features,
but it does at least have commentary
and captions.

fun
Really great show. Fun to rewatch
when I want.
Some of my sets come in thin cases
and some come in standard cases.
This came in the later, which is much
more secure in holding the discs.
The DVD set is average in terms of
features. It has some featurettes,
which are longer for this season
than initially. It doesn't have any
deleted scenes.
It also doesn't have closed captions.
Which is always nice to have when
either the characters talk fast or
mumble, or say something you
have no idea how it's spelled. For
example, chapai (the term for the
stargate).

the end
The end of a great show.
Shame they only did 8 episodes.
It probably would have been a good
season.
The only issues I have with the
episodes is "Love Amazon Style"
could have been a really good
dramatic episode and possibly
a new story arc, and...
Both Hercules and Xena tried to
highlight many religions and gave
them all deep respect. However,
"A Wicked Good Time" did not do
that with Wicca & Witchcraft.
(I think the producers asked
themselves can we do this,
but never stopped to ask should
we do this.)
It has some good special features.
They have the look at the place
that makes the monster effects,
but kind of boring since they did
it on the last 2 seasons as well.
2 episodes have commentary.
3 have interviews.
2 features deal with celebrating
the show.
Perhaps the best is seeing the
new (alternative) operating credits
that they would have used if the
show didn't end.
(Fans of these shows will remember
that Xena had new opening credits
during the 6th season, but Hercules
never changed. Well, they did
intend that for Herc as well.)
A hidden easter egg on the 1st
disc is an original series promo.
The exclusive bonus set has an
extra interview feature, but it appears
highly taken from other times. It is
also mostly filled with clips from
the show instead of interviews
So not necessarily, and nothing to
feel bad about if you don't have that.
The set is designed well.
Lots of art with pics from the show.
The disc holders seem secure.
The discs do not lay over each
other the way they did for some of
the other seasons.
