Lumpy work faces

The dolly faces unusable as they were ground and “polished” with deep uneven waves and lumps making them useless for any serious work. Spent a lot of time grinding and polishing them smooth.
Seems it may be pot luck if you get a well finished set. Steel and shafts seem ok but time will tell.

Works!
Simple balance device,
We set it with a small amount of chocolate,
First night used it caught the mouse the cat had brought in the previous week.
Better than random poison and just as convenient as traditional traps.
