Very nice on hardwood floors (only Absolute model)
We have hardwood floors, and the hard floor attachment does the job. We have a corded Dyson vacuum, and it does a poor job on our hard floors, but this V8 cordless does very well. Even after vacuuming with the corded model, we usually had to mop afterwards to get all the dust up. This allows us to often skip the mopping step. Also, the convenience of just being able to grab it and use it, without a cord, is very nice.
The only thing I don't understand is why the hard floor attachment is not available for more models. It appears to only be available with the V8 Absolute model.

Works for flush cuts
I needed to trim some ceiling joists with drywall attached. From the attic I was able to cut the joist ends all the way to the drywall without damaging the drywall. When you need it, you need it.

Looks like exact replacement
It looks like an exact replacement to the original, so all good there. The fact that I needed to replace the original one (because a tab broke off) is on Ford.
