Consummate artistic performance and clear insightful explanation of his art
Kelly Joe Phelps was the true definition of an artist Fully physically skilled, gifted with talent, unafraid to take chances that always seem to work, challenging himself to be in the moment and not play standardized riffs, and a hypnotic performer. Any chance to watch him perform is a gift to us all. I bought the DVD not to learn from the instructional video but instead to be able to watch him perform. He left us way too soon.
