Swan Neck fine Regulator Adjustment

A swan neck regulator on a 6497 is a real plus for learning about working with adjustments on watches that run too fast or too slow. I was able to adjust to less than one second.

A Watch from a Master's Hand

The Roger Dubuis Sympathie line has several variations, including the very sporty model that I got. It has a solid feel to it, and the movement, an automatic caliber RD14, is both robust and accurate. With a time-only dial and no second hand, the watch plays the dual role of the informal sports watch and more formal dress watch...not easy with a rubber strap. Holding it, and examining it with a loupe, the craftsmanship is is superb. The skeletonized rotor allows the movement, including the Poinçon de Genève (Geneva Seal), to be seen and enjoyed. Roger Dubuis is one of the top watchmakers of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, and having one of his timepieces is not only to have a piece of horological history, it's also a horological masterpiece.
