Volumes 1 & 2 Are Pretty Good. The Rest... Welllll...
The first 2 volumes are nice. They're low quality, but it was known the studio didn't have much time or money to work with at that point so it's forgivable. And even so, the first 2 volumes fight scene animations are spectacular. It's the animations of casual interactions that aren't that great, which is alright since everyone's really there for the fight scenes anyways. Only other problem would be meh voice acting, which only occurs occasionally. Volume 3 some subtle yet big flaws start to show as far as the writing while the animation and voice acting has some rough moments still. Volume 4 and onward has the writing flaws become glaring with plot holes or inconsistencies popping up everywhere. Plus, despite clearly having a substantial budget increase, there are still plenty of moments with poor animation and voice acting, sometimes even worse than the beginning volumes, which has no excuse. Overall, just watch the first 2 volumes. Volume 2 ends in a way that's a somewhat satisfying conclusion, so you could pretend that's where the show ended. I wish I did.
